This exhibition catalogue was produced for the exhibition held at the Bundeskunsthalle (Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany) in Bonn. It recounts the immense influence Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475–1564) has had on European art from the Renaissance to the present day. The focus is on works by important artists from five centuries who have entered into a creative dialogue with the Florentine’s paintings, sculptures and artistic principles.
